..... Privately run and funded by webmaster and a few volunteering enthusiasts who have all worked in the maritime industry. We are working to enlighten the world as to maritime history, its importance to societies, and not least to honour those who sailed the seven seas; especially those of our international colleagues and friends who stayed at sea permanently.
We aspire to do this to the very best of our ability, and with due respect for their memory and sacrifice in having served mankind in times of war and peace.
This is a voluntary non-profit effort, so 7SEASVESSELS.COM has no source of income other than donations. Your economic support contributes to promoting the maritime-cultural heritage of seafaring and shipbuilding nations, visualising the ships, their individual lives and fates for the benefit of the world-wide maritime-historical interest.
7SEASVESSELS.COM maintains a policy of not allowing the site to be used for commercial solicitation, hence no annoying and disturbing adverts; but, this also means, that the site is dependent on donations from its users. 2012 saw only 14.8 % of total costs covered by donations. 2013 showed less, 8.3 %.
